For interviews,
RSA prefers to invite its guests in the radio studio in a more friendly
environment, for a more dynamic and enriching interchange. Outside
audio capture is always too noisy and not conducive to good interviews.
Also, many types
of events would not be suitable for live broadcast in English, and
the resources needed would be enormous for the return in production
values.
When necessary,
RSA can do "actuality" field recording with lightweight
equipment for later broadcasting, but only when the subject justifies
it.
RSA always prefers
guests in the studio, which is more in keeping with the radio style
and its mission.
